Adding a fitted wardrobe with a mirror is an excellent way to optimise available light in the bedroom. You can see how the natural light from the window is effectively reflected back in our project photographs. This method helps give an illusion of space and is very uplifting. Mirrors are a creative way to add texture too. You can see how the rug, bedding and blind are all reflected back into the room. Mirrors also add balance to a room depending on the layout and placement of available windows. Given these benefits of enhanced light, improved texture, and superior balance it’s no wonder that mirrored wardrobes are growing in popularity. The client has opted for sliding doors because they do not open out into the room like hinged doors do. Consequently, this wardrobe frees up considerable floor space as they do not need clearance room.
Incorporating a mirror into your wardrobe means you do not need to add a freestanding mirror that would use up more precious space in your room. The wardrobe feels very unobtrusive in the room. It blends into the wall. White is such a clean colour for furniture, very fresh and inviting. But still with so much potential. More depth is added with the clients chosen accessories. White does not need to be considered a boring colour, but a fantastic backdrop to showcase other colours. White is a very versatile colour and full of possibilities.
Opting for off-white coloured walls with earth pigments are not so cold. Combined with the contrast of the dark flooring and all the available light make this room very warm and inviting. It is important to get the balance right with all white bedrooms to avoid them feeling sterile and clinical. Styling your white bedroom with rugs and woollen throws add warmth. It’s important to retain the soft cosy feel to the room.
