Bespoke joinery, fitted wardrobes, Hampstead renovation project

For this property we have installed a wardrobe with incorporated dressing table in the master bedroom at Hampstead, full width fitted wardrobe in the guest bedroom, sliding door wardrobe near the entrance to the bathroom and bath vanity units.

This master bedroom looks like a luxurious boutique hotel room. The décor is clutter free with the generous built-in wardrobe. The room is quite neutral with some splashes of colour. The colour helps accent the best features of the room. Such as the high ceiling with the navy lampshade, the gorgeous bed and the beautiful dressing table with a colourful seat. It is a sophisticated room and the beautiful parquet flooring is very attractive. Even though it is mainly white in colour this room still feels warm and inviting. Lots of cushions, a throw and plenty of light all help achieve that effect.

The dressing table looks great as part of the wardrobe. It means the client can keep their beauty products organised in one part of the room. The extra surface space is always useful, especially when it doesn’t take up any additional floor space. It really makes the bedroom look more spacious. If the dressing table had been a separate piece of furniture the room dynamics would have altered. We have added cabinet lighting which will be useful when applying makeup in the morning.

Both sets of wardrobes blend into the background, which helps make the rooms look bigger. They don’t have obvious handles, so the streamlined look is very chic and understated. The fact there are no handles also means it is less likely for the wardrobe to date. But the room isn’t entirely modern you do have traditional elements too, like the ceiling rose and the bedside cabinets with drop ring pull handles.

Both rooms have a good energy according to the principles of Feng Shui. The beds can be reached from both sides, they have two bedside cabinets and a headboard each. The paint colour is muted. Each room is a relaxing haven from the busy lives we lead. The mirrored cabinet in the bathroom means its easier to keep the sink area free of clutter. Keeping all the products hidden out of sight helps transforms the bathroom into a relaxing space.
