Lacquered TV wall, fitted wardrobes, Chiswick
Fully sprayed TV wall with open shelves and LED lighting
Project details
The exterior of this TV unit installed in Chiswick house has been sprayed with the woodgrain carcass and three built in speakers and one built in subwoofer. The open shelves have LED lighting and the door fronts are operation on push-to-open mechanisms.
TV and speaker wires are unsightly so a built in TV wall keeps everything tucked away tidy. It makes the room look more aesthetically pleasing. It is in keeping with the modern interior the client has successfully achieved. It has helped create a relaxing sanctuary. Lighting has been used very effectively in the room. The spotlights above the TV wall help highlight that area. It brings about an element of being at the theatre at home. It defines the area when you are settling in to watch a movie. The lights in the shelving units help showcase the clients chosen items on display.
Mounting a TV is a safer option in the family home. Parents have peace of mind the TV is secure and will not tip over. But a TV simply mounted on a wall can look very bare so having a whole TV wall is a much more stylish option. The client now has plenty of storage space to keep everything organised. The living room tends to be a space that can get quite messy otherwise. It is a room used by everyone in the family so can soon get rather disorderly. If you have children, you can dedicate a storage cupboard for their toys. Then in the evening you can tidy them away and appreciate a more grown up space.
The all light grey colour scheme is very soothing and sophisticated. Grey is such a versatile colour. It helps the room look spacious but without feeling clinical which you can find with some all-white interiors. If the client wanted to incorporate more colour into the room, grey is the ideal background colour to start adding pastels. They could have a splash of colour with their choice of artwork, fresh flowers or soft furnishings. The black framed door adds some more excitement to the room. Black is a bolder choice for doors, as you usually expect to find white doors. But its most important function here is adding balance for the colour of the TV in the room. It anchors the colour in the room and stops it being lost amongst the grey.
