Farrow and Ball shaded white is a neutral colour without being too cold or stark. The subtle hint of grey transforms the white into a soft calming tone that is very versatile colour. Adding oak handles is very eye catching. They really stand out against the white backdrop. They add a bit more interest and personality to the wardrobe without it becoming too busy. In its simplicity its such a beautiful piece of furniture, that is still very practical. It is quite a classic piece that will be timeless.
The space at either side of the chimney breast is fully utilised with hanging rails making the most of the extra depth there. There is ample room to organise outfits with the generous selection of drawers, hanging rails and shelves. The room is very light and airy. Even more so as you can now leave plenty of floor space because the fitted wardrobe stores so many belongings. The client could probably opt to remove the chest of drawers if they so desired as the wardrobe is substantial with more than enough storage. Seeing floor space makes the room appear bigger and improves the layout of the room. This is especially important as you first enter a room that space needs to be uncluttered so its welcoming.
The chimney breast means free standing furniture would never have worked successfully here. Choosing Urban Wardrobes to come up with a bespoke solution has completely transformed the room. It is an inviting space that looks very stylish with the addition of a fitted wardrobe to disguise an unwanted feature in this contemporary bedroom. Now it is in keeping with the modern interior of the property. It is also more streamlined having one fitted wardrobe instead of three distinct pieces of free standing furniture in its place.
