Lacquered shaker style doors with mirrors, Hornsey N8
Lacquered mirrored shaker style doors – Vetro style. Full heigh alcove units – Windsor style.
The mirrored panels reflect so much light around the room whilst serving as an appealing design element for the bedroom. The mirrors are a real focal point.
It is already quite a bright and airy room but the use of so many mirrors gives the impression that it is even more spacious and open. The room appears to go on and on. It is such a welcoming and calm space, a bedroom you would want to relax in. The clean lines of the shaker style doors are very attractive and work well in a period setting. It’s a timeless and minimalist design that charms in its simplicity. However, interestingly the handles are quite ornate and add a little sparkle and extra glamour to the room.
Glitzy handles like these are becoming increasingly popular for those that like luxury and decadence. It makes what could be quite a vintage design seem so much more modern and contemporary. The handles also match the chic light fitting so the room has continuity and flows together.
The room doesn’t appear cold because the wood flooring, the sheer amount of light and the patterned bedding add warmth. It all works together well. The client has light grey walls which makes the room seem cosy, white could have been too clinical and stark. Light subtle greys have many of the same attributes of white but avoid being sterile. The client could add more colour with their chosen accessories and artwork if they so desired. The chosen wardrobe is very neutral so can suit a diverse palette of colours.
In terms of storage this wardrobe configuration keeps the room completely clutter free. We have included drawers and double hanging rails to really maximise space. The client can just add a few personal belongings to express their personality.
